Jackson Thatcher mixes finger-style picking (Tommy Emmanuel and Pete Huttlinger), percussive rhythms (Andy McKee), and slapping harmonics (August Rush) to create a sound and show of his own.
Jackson has performed his solo act at BB King’s in Memphis, Puckett’s Downtown Nashville, Puckett’s Boat House in Franklin, Douglas Corner, Mama’s Java, Nolensville Feed Mill, Broken Wheel Festival, Nolensville 4th of July Celebration, Buttercup Festival, Nolensville Lawn Festival, Two Old Hippies Nashville, Columbia State Community College’s Ledbetter Auditorium, and Trevecca Nazarene University.
Additionally, Jackson was featured as a solo guitarist with the Cool Springs Youth Orchestra at The Factory at Franklin’s Liberty Hall. With his band and other artists, Jackson has performed at Hard Rock Café Nashville, Tin Roof Nashville, The New Daisy Theatre on Beale Street in Memphis during the International Blues Challenge, 3rd & Lindsey, Mercy Lounge on The Billy Block Show, The Red House, Mellow Mushroom, and Franklin Mercantile.
Jackson released his first acoustic guitar solo album, The Path, and was featured on Fox 17’s Tennessee Mornings and a couple articles in The Tennessean recently. Besides his solo and band gigs, Jackson is a guitar teacher at Nolensville Guitar Academy and a freshman at Ravenwood High School.
